Why did you become a teacher?
I became interested in teaching in graduate school and started to work as an Adjunct Instructor at a community college in Phenix City, Alabama. After graduation I worked in various adjunct positions around Georgia and Alabama before coming to CGTC in 2005. I like helping people and teaching is a great way to contribute to society.
What is your teaching philosophy?
Learning should be fun, but it should be taken seriously by students and instructors. One of the most important things an instructor can do for a student is to make what is taught in the classroom relevant to the world outside the classroom.
